Context

Hot on the heels of our recent Web Widget launch that enabled more seamless and integrated in-website customer support, we turned our focus to in-product messaging in aid of Zendesk's vision of helping businesses have authentic, sustainable relationships with their customers through beautiful, intuitive software experiences. The initial success of this work resulted in an acquisition and increased investment in this space.


Mission

Build, launch and learn as quickly as possible. At a high-level, we created a tool that allowed customers to segment their customers based on certain criteria, send them targeted in-product messages (IPM) and monitor their impact.


Role

I led design for this initiative, partnering closely with a Product Manager and nimble engineering team as we tried to rapidly find product market fit.
